You will have three tasks for this module assignment. First, you will develop 4 learning centers based on your overarching theme from Module 4. They must be developmentally appropriate and incorporate the PK guidelines Download PK guidelines. They may include any content areas from the PK guidelines. Then, you will design your ideal Pre-K classroom.  As you design your classroom, consider how you will arrange the different learning areas you will have in your room. How will your arrangement encourage safety, play, and effective classroom management? Where will you include the centers you just developed? Finally, you will write a short reflection on your design choices. While it is always helpful to see others’ designs, please make sure your classroom design is original and includes the learning centers you created.

1. Develop 4 learning center ideas that incorporate play and the overarching theme you established for your lesson last week. Use this guideline Download this guideline for your centers, but you may present the information any way you choose.  Centers are child-directed areas in the classroom where they select from provided materials to play independently.
2. Design your classroom environment, including designated areas where your students will complete these centers. You may use classroom designing software. Be sure to review pages 11-14 in the 2015 PK Guidelines Links to an external site. as you design your room.
3. Write a short reflection of your center and room design choices. Why did you choose them? How will these choices support teaching and learning?
