Organize your narrative in essay form with an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Also, be sure to give your essay a title. Include relevant sensory details and dialogue to allow the reader to share in your experience. This essay counts as 10% of the final course grade. The essay will be graded on the elements of focus, content organization, and correctness, dialogue, and MLA format (a grading rubric is attached.
Grading Criteria for Essay 1:
5=Excellent, 4=Very good, 3=Satisfactory, 2=Less than satisfactory, 1=Unacceptable

Are the paragraphs related, and do they lead smoothly from one to another?
Does the reader get confused at any point when reading this paper?
Is the essay written in standard English appropriate for a college level audience?
Does the writing contain major errors in grammar and vocabulary that keep the reader from understanding parts of the essay?
