I have known her for nearly 16 years. I tutored and mentored Tranesha as an honor student at Woodlawn Magnet High School. Tranesha was an excellent student. She devoted herself to her academics with a special love for science and arts. She participated in several extracurricular activities including serving as Color Guard Captain, a leader of her JROTC program and a member of the year book committee. Tranesha has always exhibited admirable leadership skills and special care for others – no matter their age or disability. It has been a joy to watch her grow form a teenager to a successful woman. As previously mentioned, she has a special love for people. Tranesha worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at UAB Infusion Clinic where she compounded chemotherapy for very sick patients. We often discussed her goal of being a pharmacist and steps to take in order to accomplish her goal. I am so proud of her and I highly recommend her.
